Soon enough, Greyson came back in his truck, with my car in tow, new tire attached, beaming through the drenching rain. I watched from the window as he un-hitched my car from his truck. Grinning with satisfaction, he strode up to the house.
"Honey, I'm home!!" Greyson called in a sing-song voice as he opened the front door, then burst out laughing from the joke he made.
"Oh, Greyson! You're so funny!" I giggled. I walked up to him and helped him take off his soaked jacket.
"Did you miss me?" Greyson asked as he took off his shoes. "Of course I did! I didn't know how mush longer I could stand without being by your side!" I said dramatically, putting my hand to my heart. We both laughed.
"There's a movie on tonight! I thought maybe you could stay over and watch with me?" Greyson said hopefully. "Sure, sounds great! I'll just call my mom to let her know I won't be back 'til late." Pulling my cell from my pocket, I dialed my home phone number and waited, counting the rings until my mom picked up. "Hello?" I heard my mom say. "Hi! It's me, Jesse! I'm just letting you know I won't be home 'til late. Staying at Greyson's for a while!" "Oh, ok! Have fun! Now don't you two get too caught up in yourselves, ok?" I winced and groaned at those words, "MOM! Of course we won't!"
"Haha, just checking! Ok, love you!"
"Love you, too! Bye." I snapped my phone shut. "I can stay." I smiled at Greyson. "Great!"
"So what movie are we gonna watch?"
"Singing In The Rain?"
"Ooh, I love that movie! It's a classic!"
It was about 6:30, me and Greyson were playing cards at the dinner table, when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" Greyson said as he set down his cards and got up from the table. Walking toward the door, Greyson called "Hmm, I wonder who's at the door?" He opened it, and a young man wearing a pizza delivery uniform was standing on the porch, holding a flat, square box with, what would only make sense, a pizza inside it. "Oh! Looks like the pizza delivery man is at the door!" Greyson said extra loudly over his shoulder.
"Greyson, you ordered us pizza?!"
"Not just any pizza! Hawaiian pizza with extra cheese!"
"Aww, Grey! That's my favorite!"
Greyson gave the delivery man some cash, said thank-you, then shut the door. "Time to watch a movie!" he said.
